The Football Association of Thailand organizes training for Thai League 3 players, along with physical fitness tests before the start of the season.

The Referee Development Division of the Football Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage organized training on rules and guidelines for referees in Thai League 3, Central, Eastern and Western regions, to prepare for the 2024/25 season between 30 August – 3 September 2024 at Bangkok Thonburi University.
This training was led by Mr. Chaiwat Kansutha, Nat Srisawalak, Mongkol Rungklai, Koson Chansaeng, lecturers from the Football Association of Thailand, and football referees from Thai League 3, Central, Eastern and Western regions, with a total of 258 people participating.
For the 5-day training, the content is intensive, consisting of:
- Training on rules and guidelines for knowledge and understanding of the revised 2024/25 competition rules
- Emergency substitution rules
- Captain’s armband and shin guard rules
- Allowing goalkeepers to wear long pants in the competition
- Rules on intentional handball play
- Penalty kick rules that allow placing the ball with any part of the football touching the penalty spot (similar to placing the football during a corner kick) and entering the penalty area of the player (Encroachment) that is not related to the penalty kick
After training in various topics, participants were given a test on the rules and video clips of various events to gain understanding and expertise, as well as reviewing events from video clips, which are case studies that will allow referees to consider various situations such as ball snatching, tactical offenses, handball play, offside situations, and events in the penalty area.
Before all the trainees go to the field, which is a simulation of the referee’s positioning and movement, they must be in a good position and be able to see the ยูฟ่าเบท events that occur in different moments that affect the decision-making process.
By testing the physical fitness of all participants (at the Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin Stadium) by Thai League 3 referees who will be referees in the 2024/25 season must pass the following tests:
Male Referee
- Test 1: Sprint Test Run 40 meters, 6 times, each time must not exceed 6.20 seconds.
- Test 2: Interval test Run 75 meters, walk 25 meters, running time not exceeding 15 seconds, walking time not exceeding 22 seconds, at least 40 times or 10-15 laps around the track or football field.
Female Referee
- Test 1: Sprint Test, run 40 meters, 6 times, each time must not exceed 6.60 seconds.
- Test 2: Interval test, run 75 meters, walk 25 meters, running time not exceeding 17 seconds, walking time not exceeding 24 seconds, at least 40 times or 10-15 laps around the track and field or football field.
